Dr. Alanna Adams

Dr. Alanna Adams attended the University of Alberta before transferring to the New England College of Optometry (NECO) where she graduated with her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2005 with Honours. She attended a ophthalmologic externship with emphasis on laser, cataracts, cornea, retina and therapeutic drugs in Phoenix, Arizona. This was followed by an externship at a Veterans Affairs Hospital specializing in low vision and a primary care clinic both in Rhode Island.

Upon Graduation in 2005 Dr. Adams returned to Edmonton, Alberta where she practiced for six years in a multidisciplinary optometric-ophthalmologic surgical center. Here she was an integral part of the surgical team preforming pre and post operative care alongside the busy family practice. She has a personal interest in new technology and surgical advancement and enjoys educating patients on their options. Dr. Adams is committed to educating patients on the importance of good eye health and providing her patients and their families with the highest level of vision care possible. She is very excited to be joining the Mountain View Optometry Team.


In her spare time Dr. Adams is an avid equestrian who loves to ski, hike and travel. She currently resides in SW Calgary with her husband Jeff Waddell and their two children, Mitchell and Ella and the family dog Chubbs.
