ANTI-FATIGUE LENSES

May 16, 2018

In today’s digital world, your eyes are focusing for long periods of time at different distances a lot more than they used to in the past. When you use smart phones, tablets, & computers, if you are a student that does a lot of reading, or if you sit at your desk doing computer work for hours, your eyes are forced to focus on close-up objects for longer periods of time than they’re meant to, & then switch back to distance, over & over again. This can cause eye strain, headaches, blurred vision, & discomfort as the eyes struggle to maintain focus on all these things.

Fortunately, there are several designs of Anti-Fatigue lenses meant to help people of all ages, even people who don’t normally wear glasses. Whether you are a young person or student who needs a small “boost” for close-up, or you need something a little stronger, there are designs that offer help for everyone. Having that little “boost”, or a stronger prescribed power, gives your eyes a helping hand to focus, & allows your eye muscles to relax, thereby reducing eye strain, fatigue, & discomfort.

Please come in & talk to one of our Optometrists or Optical staff about options that will work for you!
