Dr. Rob Kloepfer

Dr. K grew up in Southwestern Ontario in the small town of Goderich. After completing an undergraduate degree at the University of Western Ontario, he continued on to the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Additionally, he will complete his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Haskayne School of Business here in Calgary in April 2023.

Having practiced in Alberta since 2013, Dr. Rob has worked in both rural and urban clinics. He has also been actively involved in the community as a volunteer during eyecare trips to both Jamaica and Africa. Additionally, Dr. Rob has a passion for educating others through his developing social media platform, and by lecturing across Canada. Dr. Rob has been a past member of the Calgary Society of Optometrists executive board and served seven years on the Alberta College of Optometrists Council, including a one-year term as President.

When he’s not helping you see more clearly, you can find Dr. Rob spending time with his family, gym, biking, hiking, traveling, enjoying the outdoors, or trying a new hobby. He is always up for a new adventure, so don’t hold back on sharing how you like to fill your time!

For Dr. Rob, working in healthcare had always been a dream especially after spending so much time as a patient growing up with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA/JIA) since the age of seven. He is passionate about helping patients with dry eyes in MVO's advanced dry eye clinic. Dr. Rob gained significant clinical experience working in an ophthalmology office, specifically in their dry eye clinic diagnosing, monitoring, and treating advanced dry eye patients.  He is committed to providing high quality patient care by improving vision, and is looking forward to helping guide you through your positive eyecare experience at MVO.

I will look forward to meeting you and your family as our team takes care of your entire eyecare needs. I will be available to address any of your questions or concerns. Let's See the Good in this World Together!
