HEALTHY SIGHT FOR LIFE STARTS WITH EDUCATION

A man is giving a presentation to a group of people

Being proactive about your health starts with education. We believe that knowledge is the key to empowering our patients to make the right decisions about their eye care.

Recently Dr. Wilk presented to the grade 8 class at Manachaban school in Cochrane. The students were involved in study about light and how it behaves, and learned about the anatomy of the eye, how we see in different lighting conditions, colour vision, and got an introduction to refractive errors such as nearsightedness and farsightedness.

Our doctors are experts in eye care, stay current with new developments and are available to present on a variety of topics. If you are a teacher, health care provider, or part of a community association, and would be interested in having us present to your group, please email us with details.

Here are a few suggestions:
• Taking care of your eyes – from birth through the golden years
• New parents’ guide to your children’s eye care
• Alternatives to glasses – contact lenses, vision therapy and laser corrective surgery
• Prevention and treatment of commonly encountered eye diseases
